Rauma Honning – local honey from Åndalsnes

Norwegian honey from our own hives in the Rauma valley — between fjord, mountain and Norwegian nature.

About Rauma Honning

Rauma Honning is professional beekeeping based in Åndalsnes, Norway. Our apiaries are located in Åndalsnes, Isfjorden, Trollstigen and Rødven — within Rauma municipality, Møre og Romsdal — where the bees forage on everything from flowering farmland and summer vegetation to heather moorland near the coast. So honey from Rauma Honning reflects both the place and the season it comes from.

Weather, blossom and foraging conditions vary from year to year, and so do the honey's taste, colour and texture. We harvest from our own hives and handle it gently before jarring in 250 g and 500 g jars, with no additives and no blending with imported honey.

Available: The honey is available now.

Beekeeping built on experience

Rauma Honning draws on many years of hands-on experience with bees, queens and building strong colonies. We work mainly with Carnica bees, focusing on calm, hard-working colonies, good overwintering and healthy brood suited to local conditions in Rauma.

We follow the colonies through the whole season, continuously refining our methods, selection and use of modern tools to better understand what's happening in the apiaries. Beekeeping also helps pollinate wild plants and crops alike, and is a natural part of the cultivated landscape in Rauma.
